Ending a relationship can be a hard time. This article contains easy things that you can do to make it a stress free time for you and your ex partner. If you are the person ending the relationship and you are concerned for the other person, give them the admiration they earn and do not use the phone, email or text to end the relationship. Have the bravery to arrange to meet up with them and face them in person. While you were dating, you were given the opportunity to information about the other person’s personal life, their family, their job situation, their finances and I’m sure much more. When the relationship is done, do not feel it gives you the right to tell everybody all you know about the private life of your ex partner. If you want to maintain a great friendship with them in the future, this will only show you are unripe and trying to hurt them. If the relationship is done, do not keep sending incorrect signals. By this I mean, don’t keep emailing them frequently, texting them daily, calling over to their house when you feel like it. This is telling the other party that in your eyes it is not really done and you would be willing to start dating once more. If this is not the message you want to send, be very clear in your words and also your actions subsequent to the break up. You have to involve your friends and family. Talk to them about how you are feeling, particularly if you begin to feel depressed or it is affecting your work or study life. If you want to keep up a healthy friendship with your ex partner in the future, do not start dating their close friend straight after you have broken up. It is just not the right thing! Even though the relationship is over, there were good times that both of you got pleasure from. If you only concentrate on the bad times, you can become bitter and angry at either yourself or the other person. Don’t hold onto rage, hurt or pain. They steal your energy and will stop you from moving on. You mend my broken heart, how do you mend the pieces of a broken heart is never easy. It takes courage to overcome it.

Sunday, August 30th, 2009Choosing to Forgive & Learning How to Recover From a Broken Heart
Sunday, August 30th, 2009INSIGHT #1 WHEN Opting TO FORGIVE AND RECOVER FROM A BROKEN HEART – Forgiving means you’re willing to let go of the labels you bond to yourself as you at the same time accept responsibility for your actions. Keep in mind acceptance of responsibility doesn’t mean beating yourself up. It just means recognizing what you’ve done and accepting the outcomes of those actions. Releasing any negative judgments for any personal errors as you start to accept responsibility for your role in things is necessary to prevent your hurt from intensifying. Understanding this is how you learn to recover from a broken heart.
INSIGHT #2 WHEN Opting TO FORGIVE OTHERS AND RECOVER FROM A BROKEN HEART. Forgiving someone for the hurt they caused doesn’t mean letting them off the hook. You see, forgiving doesn’t mean forgetting or being a doormat. Resenting someone else for the hurt they caused and holding them accountable only hurts you. Remember, since the only person you can change is yourself, all you oversee to set yourself up for thwarting. Remember forgiveness isn’t about your ex, its about you and choosing to make healing the priority.
INSIGHT #3 WHEN Selecting TO FORGIVE OTHERS AND RECOVER FROM A BROKEN HEART. Forgiveness is a commitment you make to release your judgments for past mistakes (whether your own or others). You see, the opposite of forgiveness is bitterness and rue. With bitterness you’re just bearing a grudge for what’s fallen as you relive the painful events of the past. Your hurt becomes just cause for why they’re to blame. With regret, on the other hand, you replay previous events wishing they could be undone. Either way, with regret or resentment your stuck in the past wishing to undo what can’t be undone. Remember choosing to forgive is the best gift you could give yourself. It’s a decision to make healing the priority.
Can heal your broken heart, Should I read a mend a broken heart poem- are these things bothering you? Don’t worry you are not the only one who is suffering from pain. There are ways to overcome it.
How to stop the fighting
Friday, August 28th, 2009One of the best things we get to experience in our lives is relationships. From the wonderful experiences of family relationships to love relationships it is great. But a few times good relationships can turn bad. What was once a source of joy and excitement can become hard and painful.
I have seen this first hand helping people in couples counseling San Diego. What was once a promising relationship becomes antagonistic. What once looked so beautiful and promising now has a very grim outlook. What happened and what can be done to change it?
That is a huge question and one that will be difficult to answer. Most relationships that have problems are going to be different. But my experience as a marriage counselor San Diego has shown me there are methods you can use to bring out good solutions.
One of the benefits that can help them is by providing a safe place. A lot of times trying to deal with their struggles at home just doesn’t work.By proving a safe environment for them they are able to feel comfortable and safe which allows them work things out easier.
One more thing that will help the couple is by being another ear to listen to them. But not just an ear but an impartial ear.An ear that is able to hear the issues and talk about them impartially.Accomplishing that can work miracles. That extra person can tackle the issues head on seperate from the heated perspective. When a couple tries to do it in the heat of battle it just doesn’t work.
Another thing to learn that can help the couple greatly is teaching them the benefits of listening to each other. In my practice doing marriage counseling San Diego, I help them develop these skills. These skills are beneficial in helping them listen to one another rather than always attempting to be the winner in an argument.
By doing this, they are able to really address the issues. Doing these few things in a rocky relationship can work wonders.I have seen it in action countless times as a marriage counselor.
