The secret to knowing what pictures to take

Friday, December 25th, 2009

Being a good photographer is an art form.  It isn’t just about pointing a camera and clicking it to take a picture.  It is more then that.It demands talent just like any field of importance. Some people are just plain talented as photographers.  While others can be developed. The key point is understanding what is a good photograph and which photographs are not.  In this article I am going to share a couple of tips that will help you to know when a good shot presents itself.

As a wedding photographer San Diego taking great photos is my job.If I weren’t able to do it, I would be out of work.So being able to tell what is a good photograph is crucial. In weddings, just like most things in life, by understanding what is going on around you is important.  There is a lot of activity going on but if you know what is going on you can get prepared.  You know what signature moments are in weddings.Just be prepared to get them on film.

Another tip I learned from being  a San Diego photographer is understanding human emotion. You can find yourself taking candid shots of people.Or you might find yourself in the position to take photographs at weddings. It doesn’t matter. All that really matters is that you have a grasp of the subject with all the emotions that is happening to them.  If you do you can get ready to catch some great emotions on film.

Finally if you are to be a good photographer, you need to anticipate the great shots.  This is especially helpful for doing work like in my San Diego portrait photographer business.Because all the big events will have a lot of things going on.  By being able to anticipate the action photos you might miss you are able to catch.

So there are some great methods for you to know when you will have an opportunity for a great shot.  It is a lot of mental rather then technical but the shots you take will be great. And more spellbinding then just simple technical shots.

Things to consider when choosing a wedding photographer

One of the toughest things that a couple planning a wedding have to do is budget. They have to allot money for the location of the wedding. They have to consider also the expenses they will incur on the reception. And they also have to allot money for the honeymoon. And we should also consider the wedding photographer.  This is a choice people have to make on going cheap or getting a quality photographer.  So let’s compare the two.

Of course this is coming from my experience as a wedding photographer San Diego.  So I have had to deal with couples who had to worry about budget.  While I also dealt with couples who didn’t have to worry about budget.Obviously, you cannot afford an expensive one if your are on a tight budget.A couple can’t do anything if that would be the case. They can’t do anything with regards to how much they would spend.  But if they do some interviewing they still can choose a good photographer.  They just have to shop around.

But if a couple is on a limitless budget then they should find the best ones out there.  Why should they do that?Because a wedding just happens once and it is a very special day for them as a couple.Don’t go for photographers that are not that good because you are entrusting them the duty of capturing the evnets during your vey special day.  I have had many people tell me they regretted not going with my San Diego photographer business because of price.Mainly because they were not satisfied with the quality thattheir photographer gave them.

So if you are planning towed then don’t be cheap. If you could avoid it.  Find the best San Diego event photography you can find and you will be pleased with the outcome.  For something as important as your wedding it is worth it.  You are trusting someone to capture that beautiful moment forever.  Make sure you place it in the hands of someone who can deliver on that trust.

For quite a few people their wedding will be one of the major events in their life.  For some people thousands of dollars are spent. Some people even travel outside of their cities to other locations. One of the greatest places to have a wedding take place is San Diego.Let’s examine a little closer a few of the reasons.

When couples start to plan out their wedding, the location is a major decision.  For those couples that can afford it going to a different city is an exciting option.San Diego is one city that always come to mind because of some reasons.  Now of course this is going to come from first hand experience working with a lot of couples as a San Diego photographer. So my experience offers tremendous insight.

One of the major reasons is the weather.  Most weddings are done in the summer. Well in general a lot of the places are going to be hot in the summer. One of those locations that is comfortable is San Diego. The weather is really not that bad on the coast.  This also is a great reason because of your photography.  As a San Diego wedding photographer I appreciate good weather. It gives chances for some great shots to be taken. It makes for a very nice and comfortable photo session. Where your wedding group won’t be having the heat make them uncomfortable.

Another reason to consider is San Diego is really a great location for events. It has a bunch of different hotels for all your guests to stay in.  It has plenty of activities so your guests can turn it into a mini vacation. Doing event photography San Diego has allowed me to see how this works out beautifully. Make no mistake a wedding is a huge eventSo the work that you perform is really a form of event photography.  San Diego offers a great location for this.

It is a hope that these few insights is going to give you some feedback to help you make a better choice when making a decision about your wedding location.
