The secret to knowing what pictures to take

Friday, December 25th, 2009

Being a good photographer is an art form.  It isn’t just about pointing a camera and clicking it to take a picture.  It is more then that.It demands talent just like any field of importance. Some people are just plain talented as photographers.  While others can be developed. The key point is understanding what is a good photograph and which photographs are not.  In this article I am going to share a couple of tips that will help you to know when a good shot presents itself.

As a wedding photographer San Diego taking great photos is my job.If I weren’t able to do it, I would be out of work.So being able to tell what is a good photograph is crucial. In weddings, just like most things in life, by understanding what is going on around you is important.  There is a lot of activity going on but if you know what is going on you can get prepared.  You know what signature moments are in weddings.Just be prepared to get them on film.

Another tip I learned from being  a San Diego photographer is understanding human emotion. You can find yourself taking candid shots of people.Or you might find yourself in the position to take photographs at weddings. It doesn’t matter. All that really matters is that you have a grasp of the subject with all the emotions that is happening to them.  If you do you can get ready to catch some great emotions on film.

Finally if you are to be a good photographer, you need to anticipate the great shots.  This is especially helpful for doing work like in my San Diego portrait photographer business.Because all the big events will have a lot of things going on.  By being able to anticipate the action photos you might miss you are able to catch.

So there are some great methods for you to know when you will have an opportunity for a great shot.  It is a lot of mental rather then technical but the shots you take will be great. And more spellbinding then just simple technical shots.

Things to consider when choosing a wedding photographer

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

One of the toughest things that a couple planning a wedding have to do is budget. They have to allot money for the location of the wedding. They have to consider also the expenses they will incur on the reception. And they also have to allot money for the honeymoon. And we should also consider the wedding photographer.  This is a choice people have to make on going cheap or getting a quality photographer.  So let’s compare the two.

Of course this is coming from my experience as a wedding photographer San Diego.  So I have had to deal with couples who had to worry about budget.  While I also dealt with couples who didn’t have to worry about budget.Obviously, you cannot afford an expensive one if your are on a tight budget.A couple can’t do anything if that would be the case. They can’t do anything with regards to how much they would spend.  But if they do some interviewing they still can choose a good photographer.  They just have to shop around.

But if a couple is on a limitless budget then they should find the best ones out there.  Why should they do that?Because a wedding just happens once and it is a very special day for them as a couple.Don’t go for photographers that are not that good because you are entrusting them the duty of capturing the evnets during your vey special day.  I have had many people tell me they regretted not going with my San Diego photographer business because of price.Mainly because they were not satisfied with the quality thattheir photographer gave them.

So if you are planning towed then don’t be cheap. If you could avoid it.  Find the best San Diego event photography you can find and you will be pleased with the outcome.  For something as important as your wedding it is worth it.  You are trusting someone to capture that beautiful moment forever.  Make sure you place it in the hands of someone who can deliver on that trust.
